You may be asking, what is this Law and how does it affect my life? Why is it important to me and how can I get started? Let's take a moment and explore these questions.
To better understand this Universal Law, we need to remember that Einstein taught us that all matter is energy. As energy, we are vibrating each and every moment. It is through our vibration that we consciously or unconsciously, manifest or attract whatever we "ask for." This "magnetic effect" draws energetic vibrations to each other and is responsible for attracting those vibrations to us.
In the film, The Secret, we are urged to invite in all good things from a place of good feeling, not simply from positive thought. The old paradigm method of relying on good thoughts alone is not enough. If what we feel is in conflict with what we think, and subsequently ask for, we are sending out a confused message. If we want steak, but truly believe all we deserve is hamburger, we will get hamburger! Therefore, the response from the Universe is in kind - fragmented at best, unwanted at worst. We may even feel as if we have failed, altogether.
If we are not attracting our heart's desire, then discovering what keeps us from vibrating at the highest level is paramount. Recognizing the manner in which we vibrate, and how to raise our vibration, is not only the key, but also what I wholeheartedly consider The "Other" Secret, a vital component in experiencing more of what we yearn for in life.
Chronic (or sporadic) reoccurring illnesses, as well as depression are indications that we are vibrating at a lower frequency We may feel victimized when our bodies and/or our minds seemingly let us down, interfering with our ability to perform simple daily activities. Low physical energy levels can threaten to undermine our desired accomplishments.
On the other hand, feeling refreshed each morning, having an abundance of physical energy to achieve our daily to-do list, experiencing joy and love on a regular basis are all glowing examples of a higher vibration.
There are many ways in which we can raise our vibration. Here are just a few you can try:
- Taking a walk in nature
- listening to beautiful music
- Playing a musical instrument
- Enjoying your pets
These activities in and of themselves can make you feel good and bring you into a more harmonious vibration. Any activity which you enjoy, and which relaxes you and allows you to release stress can raise your vibration. Finding a good feeling and holding it for as little as 60 seconds can actually assist in elevating your vibration.
However, in some cases, we have difficulty raising our own vibration due to unresolved emotional issues. Outdated belief systems resulting in unhealthy behavior patterns can result in energetic blocks. For example, a child who grows up repeatedly abused by his/her father will begin to absorb the experiences as "normal." It will not be a conscious decision, but rather a learned response. Consequently, this child will grow up continuing to draw inappropriate people and events into his/her life, thus repeating the childhood cycle of abuse.
Another way to raise your vibration is to release negative thoughts, feelings and beliefs through affirmations. For instance, if weight loss is desired, the affirmation might be, "I am now joyous at my perfect weight." Affirmations are positive statements in the present tense and immediately raise our vibration by focusing our minds on positive thoughts. An affirmation of financial freedom might be, "I have all the money I want."
Positive thoughts may help raise our vibration temporarily, but The "Other" Secret lies in keeping our vibrational frequency high, where we really feel good and where we can manifest our true desires. To achieve this, holding positive feelings reigns supreme.
