PAT ROBERTSON, DIDN'T YOU GET THE MEMO?

“Well, he’s a man.”  commented televangelist Pat Robertson (700 Club), when recently  responding to a female viewer asking for help regarding her cheating husband.

His best advice:   Get over the infidelity and provide a better home so he doesn't “wander.”

What did you just say?!  I think I just threw up in my mouth a little...

Apparently, this is just one in a long list of other comments/ recommendations Mr. R. offers to women in similar relationship situations:

"Stop focusing on the adultery and instead ponder, “Does he provide a home for you to live in, does he provide food for you to eat, does he provide clothes for you to wear, is he nice to the children…is he handsome?”

"Do more to prevent your husband from cheating: “But recognize also, like it or not, males have a tendency to wander a little bit and what you want to do is make a home so wonderful that he doesn't want to wander.”

Earlier this year Mr. R. was criticized when he suggested a woman’s looks might be to blame for her marital problems. He told a story about a woman who asked a reverend how to stop her husband’s drinking problem.

“She was awful looking. The preacher looked at her and said, ‘Madam, if I was married to you I’d start to drink too,’” Mr. R. said.

Slap some butter on it and call it a biscuit!  

Shifting Paradigms

I could go on a rant and discuss my thoughts on this guy's archaic attitude, but instead I'll share a little about the shift in paradigm; the shift of ages.

We left the Age of Pisces and entered into the Age of Aquarius in 2012.  It is said to last some 2,150 years.  This should give Mr. R. oodles of time to catch up.  

The energy of the two influences is vastly different.  I'll discuss this more in a future blog, but for now, think of it this way:

Age of Pisces = Hierarchy, masculine dominated

Age of Aquarius = Equality, masculine and feminine walk side-by- side

Clearly, Mr. R. did not get the memo.  That's OK.  We all grow in our own time and at a pace  we choose.  He may just come back in his next life as a Stepford wife!

Eclipses magnify our out-of-sorts state of being, anchoring powerful energy that affects Mother Earth's Electromagnetic Grid.  The Grid carries information about every individual living upon her.  Eclipses can impact our base frequency  because they affect the Grid. Just because we can’t always see an eclipse doesn't mean we don’t feel the influence. 

Eclipses often bring about a crisis of sorts that leads to a significant event or life change.  Therefore, many people tend to fear these cosmic events.  Even so, we are usually the ones to attract changes because our "higher self" knows that we need it. 

Lunar Eclipse = Endings

If you have stayed in situations that are making you miserable for too long, deep down inside you know that change is not only due  but truly needed for growth and well-being.

This is where Energetic Cord Cutting can be extremely healing and very liberating.

Eclipse season is an opportune time to release old, limiting, even self-destructive behaviors in order to make way for a new, higher vibration.  Remember, fear resides in low vibration and love thrives in high vibration, with all degrees of each existing in-between.

A large part of my healing practice is cutting energetic cords to these old and outdated imprints. These cords block energy flow and can cause emotional, physical, mental and spiritual blockages.

We can be corded to people we interact with (and even those we simply come into contact with) and events that transpire all throughout life and even as early as in utero, and past life experiences.   That’s a lot of baggage to lug around!

ARE YOU A HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON?

THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON, a book written by Elaine Aron Ph.D., came into my life recently.  A Divine event for which I am personally grateful.

All my life, I have been regarded as “too sensitive” to stimulus that others take in stride.  Loud noises (hated those loud commercials on TV), strong smells, chemicals, ceratin foods, brash people, negative news reports, violence, horror, etc.  You get the picture. 

Can you relate?

My dad was not a HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON (HSP); he was the source of most of the insults and injuries to my sensitivities.  But, because most everyone else closest to me were also HSP, I had to find a way to cope, to survive and to help.  I threw myself in the path of caustic behavior to protect my mom, younger sister and brother.  This created quite a few dings in my already-vulnerable outer self.

Today, I use my HS nature to access my extreme psychic, medium and healing abilities.  I have found a useful and meaning way to live my life, although I still have to remember to be gentle with my responses to certain stimuli.  I’m aware that many others are still floundering, however, feeling less-than their bold counterparts, who rush in rarely considering the consequences.  We need those folks because they are the mountain movers of the world – they get things done.  We HSPs often come in is as visionaries and peacemakers.  We are often highly intuitive, even very psychic, and offer our sensitivities in service in a manner that is complementary to our true nature.  Our gift is that we do think about the consequences. 

The balance between the bold and the sensitive has been way off for a very long time.  The bold folks often think of us as sissies early in life, and tease and harass us into submission or hiding.  Their observation of we HSPs as being “different” is accurate, after all, there are many more of them than us... majority rules.  This is very traumatic for the HSP, feeling ostracized and believing that there is, indeed, something wrong with us.  Happily, some have found successful ways to cope and even overcome the stigma. 

It’s possible for we HSPs to begin to think of our sensitive nature as a gift and something divinely bestowed upon us.  We are not seeking to be considered better than our bold counterparts; we simply want to live, work and play side-by-side in harmony.

When I cut energetic cords to the past for clients, I am shown these sensitivities and am able to expand their knowledge of their life experience – and gifts - that their Soul chose.

Are you a HSP?

In her book, Dr. Aron asks a few qualifying questions:

Are you a highly sensitive person?

Do you have a keen imagination and vivid dreams?  

Is time alone each day as essential to you as food and water?  

Are you "too shy" or "too sensitive" according to others?  

Do noise and confusion quickly overwhelm you?  

If your answers are yes, you may be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP).

STAYING CONNECTED TO LOVE ENERGY

Sending LOVE energy to others, especially those we don’t like, we're more able to connect to the incredible rewards of LOVE energy in our own life.

Now, more than ever, with the multitude of challenges in our world, we will benefit from staying in our emotional LOVE center.  Remembering that we are LOVE and that our mind/ego thrives on fear will help us shift our perspective.

The vibrational frequency of the heart projects farther than that of the brain

It takes anywhere from three to seventy repetitions of engaging in a new habit to change an old one. Being fearful can become a habit; practice is the key and it takes discipline. We need to be patient as we go through this process.

The following are some practices that can be incorporated today:

Staying in LOVE center eliminates the need for asking for protection

• Meditation - even a few minutes of stillness everyday goes a long way

• Set an intention prior to every encounter for how you want to be

• Be conscious of your ego thoughts by checking in with how your body feels

• Use prayer to center yourself

• Stay fully present to the moment

• Create a mantra, eg. "I feel love"

This is where this practice really draws from Buddhist principles: being with what is.

This creates a space or gap. And from that gap, it is possible to notice the opportunity to make a shift or change the pattern to a state of being that is more centered, which would represent the possibility of more love, compassion and skillful action.

THE BRAIN TRAIN

I had the opportunity to continue a higher education when I was young, but didn't.  Most of my friends hopped on the train and went off to college. Not me. I went back to school off and on as an adult, but no curriculum spoke to me. I felt like I had failed all those years ago. 

The School of Life

But, had I?

Since early childhood, I tapped into the right side of my brain … dreaming, imagining, drawing and designing … all things creative.  From the time I was kicked out of my home at 15, I ignored that side of my brain in favor of the left, more rational side of my gray matter.  I was in survival mode.

When I was age 40, I became reacquainted with my intuitive, creative side and haven’t looked back.  This is my higher education.  I know now that I chose (subconsciously) to forego over-development of my left brain in order to preserve and nurture the right side.  There is no degree to obtain, no letters behind my name.  

Spirit is my professor and continues to guide me to higher personal growth and love.

This is my school … The School of Life.

SPONTANEOUS HEALING

I received a divine and spontaneous healing.

Life seems to evolve in a spiral. What we learn is never lost. When old patterns return, they pack less of a punch if we continue to cut limiting energetic cords along the way.

During a meditation a few years ago, I received a message from the inner masculine and feminine aspects of my Self. My innate masculine quite clearly said, “IT’S OK TO COME HOME NOW.” Within seconds, my inner feminine softly whispered, “I RELEASE YOU FROM THE FEAR OF BEING LEFT BEHIND”.

Later that evening during body work, I asked if something could be done to support restored hearing in my right ear. Pressure points were touched on my body as I declared a positive affirmation out loud.

All at once I began to feel very lightheaded and had to sit. Almost immediately, I began to feel that a HIGHER BEING wanted access to me. Many of you know that I regularly TRANCE CHANNEL* Quan Yin (Asian Mother of Mercy and Compassion) at my Diva Retreats.

*Trance channel: Allowing an ascended master to utilize my body as a vessel in order to deliver information and healing to those present.

This time, even though I do not consider myself religious, It was MOTHER MARY, known to many as VIRGIN MARY, who wanted to speak through me. I sensed the emergence of this Ascended Master as my body began to quiver; my breath quickened, my heart raced and I felt very emotional.

Because I wanted to consciously participate in my own healing, I chose to CHANNEL*, rather than trance channel her.

*Channeling: Much like a two-way conversation in which i am fully aware and “hear” the voice of the master rather than actually “becoming” the voice.

I began to cry, but not because I was sad or even overwhelmed by Mary’s exalted vibration. It was a spontaneous sobbing from a place so deep I’m not sure I knew it existed before that very moment. As the crying increased in intensity I curled into somewhat of a fetal position, sensing something old and very heavy was being purged or lifted from me. It was as though a DARK CLOUD WAS FLOATING OUT AND AWAY FROM ME.

Just as suddenly as the healing began, I experienced the most amazing serenity. I sat perfectly still in the quiet aftermath of what could only be described as a SPONTANEOUS DIVINE HEALING.
